The Trayvon Martin case has become a referendum on the multi tiered class and ethnicity based enforcement of the law, as expressed in an increasingly corrupt criminal justice system, and through the devaluation of the lives of African American Men, for whom there apparently exists a presumption of race based guilt as a direct consequence of living in a white supremacist society, and who as a result make up a horribly disproportionate number of inmates in our prison population.
This must end, or this country will be brought down. In the wake of the criminal malfeasance of Wall Street Bankers, Americans are no longer prepared to quietly accept the cognitive dissonance which exists as a result of the enforcement of one standard for white collar criminals, and another entirely for innocent Americans who simply deal with the presumption of a race based guilt, despite innocence, as a result of racism and race based profiling.
There must be accountability and a reaffirmation of the rule of law, or this society will not survive its own internal contradictions. There will be no more "looking forward and not looking behind" while the true criminals in this society literally get away with murdering innocents presumed guilty simply because of their ethnic identity.

WE WERE WARNED
VIDEO from 1999: Byron Dorgan vs. Gramm Leach Bliley-- WOW
"Derivatives are financial weapons of mass destruction" - Warren Buffett
It wasn't only Byron Dorgan
Buffett warns on investment 'time bomb'
Tuesday, 4 March, 2003
The rapidly growing trade in derivatives poses a "mega-catastrophic risk" for the economy and most shares are still "too expensive", legendary investor Warren Buffett has warned.
The world's second-richest man made the comments in his famous and plain-spoken "annual letter to shareholders", excerpts of which have been published by Fortune magazine.
The derivatives market has exploded in recent years, with investment banks selling billions of dollars worth of these investments to clients as a way to off-load or manage market risk.
But Mr Buffett argues that such highly complex financial instruments are time bombs and "financial weapons of mass destruction" that could harm not only their buyers and sellers, but the whole economic system.

MITT ROMNEY: BAD FOR AMERICA

The Republicans Ruined the Economy and destroyed the budget with two wars and an idiotic prescription drug plan, and now they are trying to lie their way back into office. See this chart? Sorry, Mr. Romney this is Not "Worse" than when Bush was in office. Mitt Romney is Not just out of touch with the poor and ordinary Americans (a Ten Thousand dollar Bet???) Mitt Romney is dangerously Out of Touch with Reality.

Last night, Bill Maher blamed the entire OWS Movement for the actions of a few "black bloc" vandals in the Oakland OWS, who, given the Oakland PD's past use of Agents Provacateurs to excuse / justify police violence, may or may not have been affiliated with that one installation of OWS.
When a Cop kills, it's Always "one Bad Apple" No matter how often it happens in cities across this country, but some guy no one recognizes breaks a window after being told to STOP by real OWS protesters, and the entire OWS movement Must Disavow Violence, and explain his actions in every teevee appearance for the next eight hundred years..
From Copwatch@Occupy Oakland:
Beware of Police Infiltrators and Provocateurs
Either these Oakland PD officers are:
1. agent provocateurs
2. infiltrators
3. have decided to join Occupy Oakland in their spare time.

STRATEGERY
Obama 1
Sanctimonious Purists, Nothing:
Who do these arrogant Morons think put them in the White House??
Check out this Exchange Between Dana Milbank and Cenk Uyger tonight on Cenk's show:
Cenk Uygur: (To Michael Steele) "My problem is with the democrats because they won't kick the Republicans' ass. They've got the american people behind them why won't they go and fight? Because It looks like their hearts Not into it. The Majority of Americans want to raise taxes on the rich. If you raise taxes on the rich you create 23 Million jobs under Clinton if you lower taxes as Bush did, you Lose 1 million jobs over ten years, I've got the facts I've got the American People I want to fight why doesn't the White House?
....Here's what everybody always tells me on the Republican side: If We Just Cut Taxes, the economy is not gonna be broke, but we DID, we cut taxes for Ten Years and it Tanked! You guys were WRONG! I wish the Democrats would actually make that case, I gotta go to Dana, Dana when you look at the Democratic side isn't the real problem they don't really believe any of this, I mean they never take the fight to 'em look at Mark Warner, sayings he wants to CUT corporate taxes, is that what we're gonna get at the end is this all just Kabuki Theater, and at the end all the Democrats and Republicans have made a secret deal anyway then they're gonna come out and say yeah we're gonna raise the debt ceiling and by the way we're gonna lower corporate taxes?"
Dana Milbank: "the silliest part of all of this is the democrats don't even have to be on this position of raising taxes for anybody they can just say 'look we're just getting rid of all these loopholes' and if you do that you can actually LOWER taxes for everybody but what I don't understand here is it does seem that Obama is almost sticking it to the left here almost like it's some humiliation here and its been going on with the budget talks with taxcuts it's going on with Libya it's going on with Afghanistan you can see that the Democratic members particularly in the House are just Livid with what's going on but they feel powerless there's nothing they can do they can't challenge him and so they can scream and yell like Bernie Sanders did but ultimately they're stuck, and they really can't persuade this White House."
Cenk: "They're stuck with a Democratic President who isn't really progressive and as you said he's almost rubbing it in their face, Alright That's GREAT, I LOVE being stuck that way, so and by the way I bet that really works out for him when he's looking for Votes. Yeah,That's a great winning strategy."

Thanks DUMBASS.
In the wake of Bin Laden's killing, Republicans simply don't know whether to shit or go blind. Douglas Feith is falling all over himself trying to explain the Neo Con rationale for giving Bush any credit at ALL for Obama's recent accomplishments.
I would also Like to give George Bush Credit.
Thank you SO Much, Dumbya, for effectively rehabilitating the Democratic Party, despite all of its bumbling stumbling and fumbling over the past two and a half years, through your sheer ineptitude, criminality, and hubris.
The GOP has effectively transformed Obama from nutty (detached) professor into a more muscular and intellectual version of Cliff Huxtable, with possibly a better smile and sense of humor. But Don't fuck with Dad, he'll deep six you with a devil may care grin..
Having allowed the greatest loss of life on American Soil since Pearl Harbor, Dubya's subsequent lack of concern regarding Bin Laden's whereabouts (Tora Bora, anyone?), when combined with the behavior of extremist Governors and the Ryan Budget Plan at the national level, adds up to an Obama victory in 2012. This despite the traitorous Gang of Six, and an unemployment rate it increasingly appears Republican leaning corporate Boards of Directors are inflating for purely political purposes.
So Once again, Thanks GOP, And to Dubya: Thank you SO Much for those clips. You're the gift that keeps on giving, especially to Democrats. Credit where it's due!

Wisdom is Not Conventional ESPECIALLY in the Beltway
Cenk Uyger's total Dismantling of Peter Morici was the Best instance of the complete Debunking of Standard Beltway Conventional Wisdom I've seen in a LONG time.
In order to maintain "Credibility", and avoid the disapproval of those regarding themselves Serious Moderate Beltway Thinkers (Y'know Clueless Elitist Fuckwads like David Brooks?), many commentators simply Repeat what every other MORON on the Cocktail circuit says. It beats work, and real Journalism can be so impolitic.
Many of these self styled Serious Moderates in the Beltway Commentariat, and a few "Professional Liberals", are content to have a Republican on just so they can point and laugh in an effort to make themselves look Intelligent. (Right, Tweety?)
These self styled "Serious Moderates" are Loathe to truly distance themselves from the Conventional Wisdom because they know both Democrats and Republicans accept the same fundamentally false premises, and God Forbid they really embarass anyone!
As for confronting the DINO's accepting every piece of flawed logic, every well publicized false premise in the name of Political Expediency, well, we ALL have to make cynical political calculations occasionally. It's called "Realpolitik".
After all, if we're too critical of rhe democratic leadership, We Might hurt Obama's chances of Reelection in 2012, and we can't have THAT. Think of the Supreme Court...
This sort of twisted rationalization creates the perfect environment for the subsequent CAVE IN the Democrats specialize in, after all, no one will confront them on their acceptance of Frank Luntz Approved focus group tested memes created on 'K' Street, as long as they all parrot the same tired line of bullshit. And why risk the approbation of the Cocktail Circuit? Roger Ailes isn't the only one getting the memo. This is why it is my opinion that the "Mainstream" Media is even more dangerous than Propagandists like Fox. Crediblity can be dangerous.
Which brings me back to Morici.
Unless these purveyors of Beltway Common Wisdom are openly confronted on their false assumptions, and on their complete deference to the same corporate interests promoting the Republicans, we'll have to live with the consequences of One Party Rule. Cenk performed a public service tonight. I just wish more self identified Liberal Democrats would stand on principle and do the same thing.
*(I'm looking at You Thom Hartmann, and You Randi Rhodes, and You Stephanie Miller...Thank Dog for Mike Malloy and Cenk Uyger).

Latest Beltway Meme: OBAMA WILL BE BLAMED for a GOV'T SHUTDOWN!! BE VERY AFRAID DEMOCRATS!!
More would blame Congressional GOP than President Obama for gov't shutdown
"Feelings are a lot more closely divided on the first question, though: Overall, 35% would blame President Obama more for a shutdown, while 41% would find greater fault with Congressional Republicans. The D vs. R divide on this one is predictable, but notably, independents narrowly side against the GOP, 38-33, and self-described moderates blame the GOP even more, by a 48-22 margin.
It's also a good reason to be skeptical of The Hill's new poll, which asked a question similar to our own. The Hill used Pulse Opinion Research - aka New Rasmussen. POR is an outfit that Rasmussen pushed out last cycle, which allows anyone with a credit card to commission an automated survey. As Mark Blumenthal explained, "While the questions asked on specific surveys may differ, the underlying methodology used by Fox/Pulse and Rasmussen are essentially identical." The Hill doesn't seem to have made their question wording publicly available - all they say is that 29% of likely voters "would blame Democrats for a government shutdown," while 23% "would blame Republicans."
